Enjoy a bit of Ethiopian Culture:

Try Gursha!

The technique of hand feeding your Dinner companion by placing chunks of food into the mouth.

The Ethiopian custom of giving Gursha plays up the exotic component of eating.

Gursha means mouthful and refers to a morsel of food which one places carefully in another's mouth, usually as a gesture of affection. Gursha is exchanged between husband and wife and among relatives and friends.

We would like for you to experience the art of Gursha and enjoy the delicacy to it's fullest.

We would like to extend our greetings to you in welcoming you to Ethiopia.

Ethiopia: The World's first Starbucks!

Coffee is Ethiopia's main export and it is from Ethiopia that the beverage first spread to other countries, such as Arabia, India, Ceylon, Java, Brazil, and Columbia.

The quality of Ethiopian coffee is world renowned but along with its exquisite taste comes a rich cultural tradition. The Ethiopian coffee ceremony is a 2 hour ritual practiced up to three times a day between family and friends. It is a special moment that binds members of the community together to transcend their daily lives.

Participate in this unique ceremony in Messob's authentic Ethiopian restaurant. Breath in the rich aroma of our coffee as the beans are roasted over an open fire and our trained servers gracefully pour a thin golden stream of coffee into each little cup from the jebena (a black clay pot).

Experience at Messob an old Ethiopian proverb:"Coffee is our Bread!"
